It's been over a week since I last wrote in this blog. I've been in a bit of a funk and I have no idea why? I'm beyond blessed. Even when I think I have problems, I can always find someone else who has it a lot worse then I do. So, now I'm going to try to pull myself out of my little pity party and tell you about my past week!
Pat, Dave, and I went to the "tough mudda" race in Poplar bluff last Saturday. My son in law, Chris, was crazy enough to enter it so we went to support him! I'm telling ya, there were some tough obstacles in this race. I could not have made the 12 mile run, yet alone doing the obstacles. They had some CARAZEE obstacles! One where you had to make it thru mud and water with live wires hanging above you. One wrong move and ZAP!  Another one where you had jump into a big vat of ice water and swim underneathe boards in the water. Then there was the "Jesus walk", where you walked thru muddy water that was so dirty that you could not see the bottom of it, there were pot holes thruout it, one wrong step and you were in mud up to your knees! The scariest one was a giant wall that the people had to run up and over the top of. OMG...are you kidding me?! Most people slid down the wall at least once before making it over it! They had a human chain of guys who were helping people over it. But you had to make it to the top and grab onto their hands to get the help! This race was all about comraderie and the proceeds of it went to the wounded warriors. Chris was a real trooper and did every single obstacle (we knew he would)! He's now gearing up for the next "Tough Mudda" race to be held in st louis next April. Goooo Chris! I'd love to be able to join him, but I'm afraid the 5K walk that we made for the color run race was as daring as I will get!

Here's some pictures of some of the obstacles....
 this is the Jesus Walk!

 and some more..

this is the live wires...NO WAY would I even try this one!

All in all it was a fun day! The sun was shining and on a stomach with little food in it, the 3 beers this old lady sucked down thru a straw, made me feel NO pain!

Now for my fashion news....afterall, this is supposed to be a blog about fashion!

One day this past week Pat was using different settings on our flash and camera...of course, I was his model! Will I ever stop being a ham?!! Here's a few shots he took outside with the flash....
I love my Doc Martin boots!

I love this flash...if the natural lighting is just right (not too sunny) and you use it, it's a miracle worker with wrinkles! It washes them all away....who needs a facelift....a flash is a heck of a lot cheaper and pain free!!
I'm loving this free people skirt! I love victorian looking clothes! Victorian and fifties vintage!

...this is Pats and my halloween costumes for this year! We're going to wear them to a party were going to next Saturday. I laughed so hard at Pats wig that I almost peed my pants! He in turn found my cat eye glasses pretty scary.....
and now for my double dose of cute.....

grandmas little munchkins! I'm really missing Patrick and Harrison! I am hoping we'll all get together at the same time and in the same place some time this year!
I'm glad I wrote in my blog...I'm starting to feel better already!

Do you remember the old commercial about Calgon bath products that had a frazzled woman in a pink bathrobe in them who had a rough day and said "Calgon take me away!"? Well, unfortunately, with my champagne taste on my beer budget, I prefer for RCCL (royal caribbean cruise lines) to take me away! Forget about relaxing in my tub, I would rather be relaxing on the deck of a cruise ship!
I've been in a bit of a funk lately and I can't figure out why? I have so much to be thankful for. I am beyond blessed! Yet something is bothering me and I can't figure out what it is? I've been tossing and turning in my sleep and getting up way too early for me! I got up at five AM again today. I don't know, maybe it's worrying about my cat Rat? She's on her last legs. She's old, 17 yrs old, and she seems to be going down hill fast. I check on her more then a few times each day (she lays under our bed most of the time) and I am always afraid of what I'm going to find. I know her time is short. I have to believe that there really is a rainbow bridge up in heaven for all our four legged babies! My mom and dad used to joke around saying that my grandpa (moms dad) must look like the pied piper up there, because grandpa, like me, loved his cats! He used to feed all the strays in the neighborhood. I remember seeing him going into their garage (where the cats would eat) every day, with a trail of cats following behind him! My grandpa was a soft spoken man, really, he didn't say much at all. He didn't need to, you knew he loved you and he made you feel safe. He was a big man. Not heavy, but big like a football player. He had an infectuous laugh, a head full of white hair until the day he died,  and a gold capped tooth! I never even thought about asking why he had that gold tooth until after he passed away.  Grandma said he knocked his tooth out ice skating when he was a little boy. In younger pictures of him he reminds me of Elvis with his dark hair and blue eyes. Grandma once told me that after he met her, he said "boy I'd love to wake up with her (Grandmas) shoes by my bed"! Although it was hard to imagine my grandpa ever saying anything like this, it makes me smile. It wasn't like today, with guys saying "I'd love to get my hands down her pants",the times they have a-changed, and I think I liked them better in grandpas day!  Grandpa was also known to be very thrifty...okay, cheap! He worked hard and saved his money. Maybe this is why when I was growing up my mom used to say "you might as well spend your money today, because you may not be alive to spend it tomorrow". Whatever the reason for her saying this, unfortunately for Pat, it stuck with me!
I have been good the past two days with my shopping addiction! I've been on ebay, but have not bought anything! Of course, I still have a vintage green blazer and and yet another hair piece coming in the mail! Pat does not know I bought these things, and I'm trying to figure out how I can get them past him without him finding out?! I always get caught...will I ever learn?!! Thank God, he, like my grandpa, is a soft spoken man too!
I just love shopping! I used to sometimes shop in vintage stores. I love Victorian clothes, the corsettes and lace (and lace up boots), the big hats. I love clothes from the '50's too. I love looking at pictures of my mom when she was young. I wish she would have kept all her clothes. She did give me her wedding gown, which I still have hanging in my closet. It's a ballerina length (lace) gown with a little bolero that goes over it. Over the years it's yellowed, I wish I would have known to have had it preserved. If I had, I'd wear it on a cruise on one of the formal nights! That is my favorite night of a cruise, the formal night! You can get all dolled up and no one looks at you like you're from another planet! I think I spend as much on my formal night gowns and shoes and jewelry as we do on the cost of the cruise! We're planning our next cruise in the spring of 2013. I already have my gowns ready! I bought a black one that I've never worn yet AND I'm going to wear a white one that I wore on our cruise last Dec., gasp.....Im going to wear a gown that I've aleady worn before!! Miracles never cease! This gown is one of my favorites. It's white and flowy and has a (of course) blinged out top! Stones that look like diamonds cover the top of it. When I wore it last year, and a man saw Pat and me walking to supper, he shouted out "Congratulations", thinking that we had just gotten married on the ship! We just smiled and said "Thanks" and laughed...seeing that we had just celebrated our 37th anniversary the month before!
Okay, I'm going to post a few pictures of my mom, who says she has never been into fashion. My sister and I fail to believe her, because she always looks so beautiful and put together in all the pictures we have of her!

and here's moms wedding gown....
She looks beautiful!
and here's the gown that I'm going to recycle and wear again on our next cruise!

I just wish that we didn't have to wait until this next spring! I'm ready for RCCL to "take me away NOW"! but I guess for the time being, I'll have to go with the calgon! maybe if I drink enough beer, I'll think I am in the Caribbean instead of my bathtub!
Here's todays dose of cute! My little Chloe belle in her grannys fedora and a mermaid costume, this baby is a mini me!!

Today has been a beautiful day! We met Kate and Chris and Eve and Cole at the lake. We ate breakfast and then let the kids run off some of their energy! It was a bit nippy out, but we had fun in spite of the colder temps!

Coleslaw is going to take after his granny...he's already into taking pictures!!

And here's a few pictures of Kate and her beautiful family!

and last but not least...grandma and pop pop with our little angels!!

okay, gotta tell ya, I love this coat I have on....it's from JCrew and is a thinsulate coat. It is light weight but keeps you nice and toasty! Im embarrassed about the way it's fitting me here, it's pulled a little too tight! Ugh...this is those extra 16 lbs! OUCH! I used to fit into a size 0 in JCrew clothes and now I'm pulling a size 4 apart at the seams! I've got to lose some of this weight!
You know how I told you I'm a "label whore" in my previous post? Well, what I didn't tell you was that I have this champagne taste on a beer budget! Aside from 3 1/2 (I lost one of my coco pearl earrings, so can't wear them, but refuse to throw the one that is left out, so I count it as half a pair), anyway, aside from those earrings, my Chanel bracelet, and a gucci watch that I bought about a hundred years ago (okay, so it really wasn't 100 yrs, but it has been 23 yrs ago, I bought it when we lived in Sicily), the only other designer label thing that I own is a blouse from Ralph Laurens collection. It was on the runway...do they call this couture? Whatever, I bought it more then a few yrs ago and have only worn it two or three times. I honestly cannot remember what I paid for it, but it wasn't cheap! We're talking hundreds of dollars, i'm thinking around $700? Now if it's not bad enough that I at one time shelled out this much money for a blouse, what's even worse, is I recently took it out of my closet and WASHED it in my washing machine! It should have been dry cleaned, but I wanted to take the cheap and easy way out! Who in the hell (excuse my french) would toss a collection piece into a washing machine?!! and THEN..the dryer!! OMG...I am about as crazy as a loon! When I pulled it out of the dryer it looked like it came from walmart! I ironed it hoping that this would make it magically look like it did before I put it in my cheapo washing machine...NOT! I do have to say that it did make a huge difference from how it looked right after I took it out of the dryer, but it is no where near as nice as it was before I threw it into the washing machine! This is it, my Ralph Lauren collection piece, probably the only piece of clothing that i'll ever own from a collection.....oops it posted above and not below this like i wanted it to! I'll try another one here....

YAY...the picture went where I wanted it to go! I do have to tell you that IF I could afford it, I would buy better clothing! You can FEEL the difference in better clothing. Some people may say that they can't tell a difference by LOOKING at it, but believe me, you can FEEL the difference! Dave said he will no longer buy his jeans from anywhere else but Walmart. He used to buy better jeans, but after buying a pair from Walmart, said that to him, jeans are jeans...they all look the same to him, so he figures he might as well take the cheap route! Which is a good idea for Dave, he isn't even on a beer budget...his budget is more of a water/redbull budget! Not that it mattters, he's happy with his walmart jeans and he looks good in them, so that's all that does matter!
It's funny because our kids all dress different from each other. They all have their own unique style! Dave being a typical guy, will throw on anything that is clean, (and sometimes not clean) and so long as it fits him, he's happy! Ally is a very classy dresser, but since having her kids, she dresses for ease and comfort during the day. Her husband, Mark, recently surprised her (for their anniversary) with a Louis Vuitton bag..OMG...I would LOVE a Louis Vuitton bag, but with Pat not working for the past year, it's going to be a looong time until Mr. Vuitton comes into my life! If ever!! Kate used to be my trendy girl...she loved following the trends! But she like Ally, dresses for ease and comfort since becoming a mama! Her style is evolving, she's growing up, so to speak, she's already passed her old mom up with her style sense! I'm still wearing the trends...and yet another BIG aging with grace NO NO! Christie used to be our little sex pot with her style. She used to wear those sky high stripper heels...she would wear them around the house! Are you kidding me? I once tried one of her shoes on and about fell off my feet just standing in it...it is beyond me how on earth the girl used to WALK in those things! I can't even walk straight in a pair of low heeled high heels. I once fell and broke my foot while running in high heels (okay I was drunk) to board a plane. Ever since then, I have been afraid of all my heels! I have a closet full of them and it gives me a near panic attack just looking at them! Forget putting them on! I live in Uggs and flipflops! Unless were on a cruise. On formal night on the cruise, I will brave wearing a pair of heels. I look like bambi on ice when i try to walk in them!  Back to Christie, (I get sidetracked so easy), she like her sisters, has traded in her old style for one of ease and comfort since having Chloe.
and now I must get off this thing, Chris and Brian and Chloe are coming over for supper. The perfect ending to an almost perfect day! Only thing that could have made it any better were if Ally and her guys could have been here too!
Tomorrow I'll tell you about all the fashionistas in my family! Ciao!

We didn't make it to the chili cookoff this evening, maybe tomorrow evening? Chris and Brian couldn't make it because Chloe wasn't feeling well. Poor baby. I hate it when my grandbabies are sick. It's like it is when your own kids are sick, you wish you could take it from them. And the colds and stomach bugs are the easy part, it's when they get old enough that they can fall prey to peer pressure or have their heart broken, that's when it really about does you in. You REALLY want to be able to take their hurt away from them then. At least with a skinned up knee, a cold, or a virus, a doctor can help them, but a bandaid and antibiotics can't heal a broken heart.  This is when I do not understand how anyone can not believe in God...because only God can heal a broken heart!
Chris said they'd be over Sunday, so hopefully little Miss Chole belle will be all better by then.
Since we didn't go out, I spent some time cleaning out my closet..not all of it, but the shoes and pocketbooks. I have handbags that have pictures of my grandkids on them. I got my first one, (pictured front and back, above) from a website called Gina Alexander. I got so many compliments on it and liked it so much that I went on to buy 4 or 5 more. The ones from Gina Alexander are expensive, so after buying three from her,  I searched for another place that makes them and I found a website called snaptotes. Although the quality isn't quite as good, they're still nice bags and I get just as many compliments on them as I did on my gina alexander ones. I wanted to post the picture of my latest one here...below this, but I still do not know how to get the pictures that I post on here to go where I want them to go...they all are going at the top of this post...grrrr! Oh well, at least i'm getting them on here even if they aren't where I want them to be! On the front of the first bag is Ally and Patrick, on the other side of it is Patrick on his daddys arm. He looks so tiny! I can't believe that he's 7 yrs old already! The second bag has Chloe on the one side, and Patrick, Harrison, Diva, Cole, and our little angel Anderson on it. You can order these bags in any size and in color, black and white, or sepia tone. They're so easy to order, you just upload your picture onto their site and they do the rest!
While cleaning I found a clutch that my dad got for me when I was a child. He had gone on a buisness trip, and came home with a gift for all of us. My sister and I got these little black and gold clutches with a string of pearls inside them. I can't remember how old I was, but I think I was about 11 or 12 yrs old. This was the first and last time that my dad bought something for us kids on his own! Unfortunately over the years, I lost my pearls, but still have my clutch. Which is funny because my sister lost her clutch but still has her pearls. Needless to say, this little black and gold clutch means the world to me! I miss my dad so much! Now I'm going to try to post a picture of my clutch below this...but who knows, it may end up posting above under the pictures of my bags with my grandbabies pictures on them?

Yay! It went where I wanted it to go! I put the jewelry I wore today in the picture with it to make a point. I'm ashamed to say it, but I can be a bit of a "label whore"! I love my coco chanel jewelry!  Pat bought me these chanel earrings at Saks and I bought the chanel bracelet on ebay. I'm sure they cost a lot more then the little clutch and pearl necklace my dad bought me, yet I'd trade the chanel earrings and bracelet in, in a heartbeat, to get back my dads pearl necklace!
My next picture is of a pocketbook my friend Liv surprised me with. It's a beautiful pink silk bag that has a seashell closure on it.  Liv and I met many moons ago when our husbands were in the Air Force. We were stationed at Ellsworth AFB in South Dakota. We were neighbors and friends in Rapid City before we even moved on base.  Military friends are like family, yet we lost touch after we moved to our next base. It wasn't until we found each other on facebook within the past few years, that we got back in touch again. Let me tell you, this dear sweet woman is a gift from God! She is a heaven sent friend! I told you I've never ever heard my brother judge anyone in his entire life, well, Liv not only does not judge others, but she also loves everyone else! She sees past the flesh and into the hearts of everyone she meets and knows...I've never known anyone quite like her. I wish we had more "livs" in the world! Without even knowing it, she got this pocketbook for me in my favorite color (pink) and with the seashell closure on it...I am all about the beach and shells! The bag was made for me! In the picture i have another beautiful surprise she sent me. A gorgeous bracelet made of pink opal, rose quartz, and mookaite jasper, along with little glass stars. I was shocked and elated when I opened up this surprise! It had a little card from the woman who made it, in with it. This woman uses some of her great grandmas beads for her work. She also names each piece. My bracelet is called Princess bracelet! Once again Liv surprised me with the perfect gift! I could not have found anything myself that I liked any better then this beautiful hand made bracelet. I mean, come on...it's shades of pink with glass stars on it!! It is gorgeous!  After I got it, Liv told me that she bought it at the farmers market and that the woman who made it makes the jewelry right there. I know it had to have taken this woman a long time to make this bracelet, the crafstmanship is amazing!! Liv is amazing and I love her dearly! Thank you dear sweet Liv! Okay, the picture is above this..not under like i thought it would be! so Lord only knows where this picture of Miss Liv is going to go...above this or under it, but here it is...okay..it's ABOVE this! One of these days I'll figure this all out!
and now before signing off another dose of cute...i can't leave my little Coleslaw out! Here's the one and only Coleslaw!
I'll be back tomorrow after our breakfast at the lake! Good night everyone!

I'm up early for me. Got up at five thirty this morning. I usually do not see the light of day until after nine! I think I'm unable to sleep because I've been worried about our cat Rat. "Ratty girl" is 17 yrs old and is going downhill fast. She's so thin and fragile. Reminds me of a little old lady. She's unsteady on her feet and has fallen off the bathroom vanity (where she eats) a few times this week. I hate that I get so attached to my pets because I know that chances are that they will die before me! They really are a part of the family and I love them all! ALL 7 of them! I've been called "crazy cat lady" more then a few times! This makes me think of nicknames...we all have them, for ourselves and for our kids and grandkids. When I was a little girl, I wanted to be called "Bubbles"...where on earth I came up with that one is beyond me?! (a sign of things to come...today I like "sparkles")!  When I recently told my youngest brother Jim about this, he went into a fit of laughter, saying it sounded like a strippers name!! My grandpa used to call me "blondie". I loved that he had this nickname for me. Now a days, my brother Rick calls me "belle" (and I in turn call him "Beau", a funny story from a cruise we were on, at least WE think it's funny), and my sister Christie calls me "little Bug". Nicknames make us feel special. My dad had a nickname for all of us kids, I was "Shed" (sometimes Sheddy Head), my sister was "Lee", and my baby brothers were "Rinky dink" and "Boo". ( I called my mom and dad "mamasan" and "poppy"). My kids didn't have quite as creative nicknames, Daves was the most unique, we called him "88" when he was a baby, the number of some football player on a team that my dad rooted for. Dad came up with this one! Allyson was shortened to "Ally", Kathryn has always been known as "Kate", and Christie was dubbed "Sissy" by her sister Kate. When Ally had Patrick, she let us know that she did not want his name shortened. She wanted him to go by his full name, Patrick, not Pat. She has since came up with her own nicknames for Patrick! "P.W." is one of them, with the "W" being pronounced like George W's name.."dubbya"! Harrison is shortened to "H", I sometimes call him "Harry", that was his great grandpas middle name. James Harry Maple. Kate's daughter Eve was dubbed "Diva" by me...she really is a little Diva...she's a chip off her old grannys block! God help this child! lol! I call Cole "Coleslaw"..don't ask me why?!! and Chloe is called "Chloe belle" by granny!  Speaking of names, I'm anxiously awaiting to hear what our two newest grandbabies names will be? Kate and her hubby Chris keep their babies names a secret until after they're born...this drives me nuts, because I am such a nosy person! Ally says she and Mark still have not decided yet? I'm not so sure about this....she knows the minute she tells me I will post it on facebook for all the world to see, and she may want to reveal it before I shout it out on fb! I've gotten into more trouble on facebook with my mega mouth! It's not that I'm trying to stir things up, I just get so excited and want to share good news!
We're going to a chili cookoff this evening. You can tell we live in a small town! It's going to be cold out...fall is definately in the air. Time to bring out my winter clothes. I do not have a lot of winter clothes, I prefer summer clothes. Not to mention that with my 16 lb weight gain, I no longer fit into most of the winter clothes that I do have. I am determined to take some of this weight off, I just need to find the incentive and willpower to do it! My diets last a few days at the most, then I go on a binge and eat like there's no tomorrow! Oh well, I'm just thankful that I am able to eat again! After a year of having trouble swallowing, I appreciate and thank God for each and every bite of food and sip of water that I can take! I still cannot eat most meats, spicy foods, or soup. I can't drink unless I use a straw, which means I no longer enjoy a cup of hot coffee in the morning. But I've come a looong ways since last Oct when I was unable to eat or drink anything on some days. I can't wait to try out all the chili samples this evening.... I'll post picturess after we get home. Should be a lot of fun!
Here's my dose of cute for today.....my daughter Ally with P.W. and "H"!!

Friday, October 5, 2012

Yesterday we went to the mall...I wanted to get some sephora (sparkle of course) eyeliner. The sephora store we went to didn't have it. I should have walked directly out of the store to the bench where Pat was waiting for me, but NOOOO...I was instead pulled like a magnet toward the nail polish in the shop. Hey..come to think of it, there is a magnet with this polish, it's that magnetic kind that leaves a design on your nails. I'm attaching a picture of it here, because I like it so much! I've tried other magnetic polish, but had never seen one like this one. It makes a star on your nail. My nails are a mess, can't get them to grow, but I still like to have fun with polish! I recently found one online that looks like a hollogram on your nails! I have never seen anything like it before, when I have it on I am in awe of how the light hits it and makes a rainbow of colors! I told Christie to try it on when she was here and she likes it as much as me! Anyway, back to sephora. I just had to get the magnetic star polish, which wouldn't have been so bad had I stopped there, but along with it, I also bought a canister of Andy Warhol inspired lipglosses and some NARS eyeshadow. I swear, someone needs to lock me up and throw away the key!
Today is a rainy day. The kind of day where you don't want to get out of bed! Or if you do, just curl up on the couch with a hot bowl of chili and be a slug! We weren't able to do this, because I had a doctor appt this morning. Nothing serious, just a check on some moles...ewwww...why does that word sound so gross?! Even grosser is that what I had checked aren't moles, they're old age spots. I can't remember the medical name for them, but it's even grosser sounding then the word "mole"! My mom said that when we get old we grow mold on our bodies...I'm beginning to believe her! The older I get, the faster things seem to be falling....I can't wait for the day when I say "SCREW it" and just stop caring about how I look! As it is now I feel like a furbie sharpei. You remember those furbie toys? The ones that looked like little ewoks that you could train to say certain words? Well, with old age you grow hair in places you DON'T want it to grow, and you lose it (on your head) where you want it to stay! With the facial hair, I think I look like a furbie. And you all know what a sharpei looks like...all those adorable wrinkles and saggy skin...adorable ON A DOG...not on me! I wish I weren't so afraid of botox, I get it on occasion, but not that often and when i do get it, I will only let the doctor put so much in me. I have this irrational fear that it's going to leave me paralyzed! If I weren't afraid of everything and if I had a ton of money, I'd be getting everything lifted, snipped, cut, and lasered! I was thrilled today, when the doctor I saw, froze off these spots I was seen for. Because it was done at our clinic, there was no charge! What ever happened to the good ole' days when the military paid for cosmetic surgery?! Now they won't even cover my retin-A! Years ago I had a surgery date set up to get a nose job at Wright Patterson AFB, I chickened out at the last minute and never went thru with it. I've wanted to kick myself more then once over this one! I mean, how many people can get a cosmetic procedure done free of charge?! One more thing about my doctor appt...you know you're old when your doctor looks like he could be your child, sometimes even your grandchild!
We left the clinic and went to Barnes and Noble for my daily fix of starbucks and then stopped off at an optical shop so I could  buy some latiesse.  I use it to make my eye lashes grow longer. It really does work! Once again, I should have let Pat go in to get it for me, because I swear I can find something I want to buy no matter where I might be! I was drawn like a magnet, (must have been this darned magnetic polish I have on) straight to the sunglasses on display. I do NOT need sunglasses...I have two pair of Chanel sunglasses and one pair of burberry. They were not cheap, but in my defense, I have had the one pair of Chanel ones for about ten years! Keep them in the eyeglass case and they'll last a lifetime! These sunglasses were calling out my name...the sides of them, the arms, were covered in swarvoski crystals! OMG...are you kidding me....CRYSTALS...MEGA bling...I tried on about six pair and was giddy just looking at them!! I'm serious....I get giddy when I see anything that sparkles and has bling on it! I get so happy and excited that I want to cry for joy! How insane and sick is this?!! I was proud of myself, when we left the shop with only my latiesse! I did have the woman working in the optical shop write down the numbers and prices of all these beautiful sunglasses for me though..I will definately go back to get a pair!!
The picture I,m attaching here is of Pat and me...Dave took it last week. My boots are no doubt yet another NO NO for a woman my age...Doc Martins with ribbon laces. The inside of them is a floral material. I love them...Pat on the other hand, thinks they look just like the combat boots he had to wear in the military!
and last but not least is my dose of cute for today....this is Chole and granny..dont you just love Chloes do-wrap?!! Like I said, the little baby is going to have her old grannys sense of style!

Yesterday I recieved a package in the mail. It was one of my many ebay purchases! I told you I'm addicted to shopping. Sad, but true! I seriously do have a problem. My daughter Christie told me she thinks I'm manic depressive, because I get on this high when I am shopping, but then always feel guilty right after about what I've spent. Pat asked me to have the hypnotist work with me on this! Anyway, in my package was a pair of Ralph Lauren riding pants. I immediately put them on with a Ralph Lauren blazer (that my daughter Christie gave to me) and loved the way they fit!  This is a rather tame outfit for me.
While looking on line the other day I saw something about Betsey Johnson. I have some of her jewelry. It's all so fun and whimsical! This would no doubt be a fashion "no no" for a woman my age, I mean some of her earring sets do not match, so you have a different earring in each ear. I love this! I can't remember what the article was about, but after reading it, I checked out her facebook site to look at her pictures. I was shocked to read that she's 70 years old!! Betsey definately beats to the tune of her own drummer! She still wears her hair long and she doesn't even try to hide where her hair extensions are put in! I bet a lot of people think she looks ridiculous, but I find her adorable! The woman has pictures of herself doing cartwheels and splits....at 70 yrs old!! You gooo Betsey goooo! I can only hope to look half as good as she does at her age!
Have to put a dose of "cute" in here...this is my beautiful little grandaughter Chloe! I think she's going to take after her granny with her sense of style?!!!
